MEP scope is where most construction rework originates, not because the individual disciplines are hard, but because mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are designed by different teams on different schedules and only get reconciled late, when changes are expensive.

We run MEP as one coordinated design effort rather than three disciplines stitched together at the end. Our engineers hold weekly interdisciplinary coordination reviews throughout design development, so clashes between ductwork, conduit runs, and piping are caught on the drawing board — not in the field.

In our experience, the highest-cost MEP rework comes from three recurring gaps: mechanical equipment loads finalized after electrical panel schedules are already set, plumbing risers routed through structural zones reserved for HVAC, and life-safety systems designed in isolation from the fire protection engineer.
